Ornament Pattern & Kid’s Craft

Supplies Needed
Pattern (download available at bottom of post)
Foam in the following colors:
Flesh tone for skin
Red for hat and berries (optional)
White for hat brim, mustache, beard, eye brows
Pink for cheeks
Green for holly leaves (optional)
Ribbon for hanging ornament
Adhesive (glue dots work best)
Technically you could use scrapbook paper or fabric or whatever suites your fancy.
The beard is made by tracing your child’s hand. The rest of the ornament comes from the pattern available at the bottom of this post. Trace and cut it out. Go ahead and assemble (use the picture as a reference). You can use glue, but glue dots work better because everything stays put and doesn’t shift as your are assembling.
If you already have foam handy and are feeling a little crafty go ahead and cut out a tree and let the little one decorate it. Buttons, paint…whatever you have lying around. Paint a toilet paper or paper towel roll brown and adhere the tree.

Happy crafting! If any of you give any of these projects a whirl I would love to see. Go ahead and post them on our Facebook page, email a picture or attach it in the comments.

Hi, I'm Megan--the crazy mom of three behind this blog. Please don't be intimidated by the name. Note it doesn't say BALANCED Home. We hardly have it all together, but together we have it all. Or at least that is what I tell myself. I love rearranging, decorating, creating, crafting, celebrations, family, and holidays. I share a little bit of all of that and more on Balancing Home. I am married to my college sweetheart (Is that a thing? Well now it is.) and he is a very talented designer. I use him for his skills so I can offer up sweet printables to all of you. If you want to learn more randomness about me or my blog, stop by my about page.
