Pattern (head over to our printables page to get yours)
Foam in the following colors:
Flesh tone for skin
Red for hat and berries (optional)
White for hat brim, mustache, beard, eye brows
Pink for cheeks
Green for holly leaves (optional)
Ribbon for hanging ornament
Adhesive (glue dots work best)
Technically you could use scrapbook paper or fabric or whatever suites your fancy.
The beard is made by tracing your child’s hand. The rest of the ornament comes from the pattern on our printables page. Trace and cut it out. Go ahead and assemble (use the picture as a reference). You can use glue, but glue dots work better because everything stays put and doesn’t shift as your are assembling.
If you already have foam handy and are feeling a little crafty go ahead and cut out a tree and let the little one decorate it. Buttons, paint…whatever you have lying around. Paint a toilet paper or paper towel roll brown and adhere the tree.
Happy crafting! If any of you give any of these projects a whirl I would love to see. Go ahead and post them on our Facebook page, email a picture or attach it in the comments.
