Jewelry Smewelry, Organization Smorganization

I like my baubles. I guess when your pregnant, not pregnant, nursing, not nursing, up a size, down a size accessories kind of become your best friend. You feel me? A totally plain shirt and jeans looks like you tried if you throw on a necklace or some statement earrings. It can even disguise the fact that you did not get to shower. Unless you smell. Jewelry can’t help you there.

Apparently I like Instagram-ing my jewels. Well all these jewels were all over the house. They were in bins all tangled, on the bathroom counter, on the dresser, on the nightstand…I think you get the point. My baubles needed a home. Desperately. Don’t ask me why, but I have had a jewelry organizer sitting in my closet for years and it took me until this week to put it to use. It is just one of those things I never sat down and took the time to do. It seriously took no time at all and now everything is visible and organized.

This bad boy is two sided too! You can find these at TJ Maxx all the time. Hangs right in the closet and doesn’t take up any more space then a cardigan. Gotta love that.

Something has got to be said for knowing what you got! Now let’s be clear, this isn’t everything. I still have some gorgeous statement necklaces that need a home. I think I might want to DIY something like the jewelry organizer my sister made.

Then my gorgeous necklaces can become wall art. A win-win for sure. How do you all store/organize your jewelry? Anyone else rely on accessories to perk up their outfits? And please tell me that you think it is totally normal and understandable that it took me a year or two to put the jewelry in the jewelry organizer? Anyone?

Hi, I'm Megan--the crazy mom of three behind this blog. Please don't be intimidated by the name. Note it doesn't say BALANCED Home. We hardly have it all together, but together we have it all. Or at least that is what I tell myself. I love rearranging, decorating, creating, crafting, celebrations, family, and holidays. I share a little bit of all of that and more on Balancing Home. I am married to my college sweetheart (Is that a thing? Well now it is.) and he is a very talented designer. I use him for his skills so I can offer up sweet printables to all of you. If you want to learn more randomness about me or my blog, stop by my about page.

LOL, this is always a work in progress for me! I have 3 necklace trees, a bust, a silver tiered tray, 3 small silver bowls, and 2 glass ring holders. And I’m still not organized. I never even open the jewelry box — I think I need an intervention. :-)
    TGIF, Megan!

Lol! Well don’t count on me for an intervention. I’m the wrong girl for the job. A for effort though :)
