I am not a die hard football fan, much to my husband’s dismay. I want my Badgers and Packers to win, but rarely will commit four hours of a Saturday and Sunday to watching a game. However, when food and family are involved, I’m all about it. Over break my sister and her husband were home from Connecticut. There were big games and lots of food and family while she was home. We had a gathering of family over for the Packer game.
It was a super casual, last minute gathering with the classics, primarily dips: chips, queso, salsa, beer bread, and yet another dip.
The dips and breads were all stored in my awesome Rubbermaid finds. I love that we could keep throwing the queso sauce in the microwave if it got cold and that we could put lids on the sauce and throw them in the fridge for minimal cleanup. Or in the case everything was eaten-straight to the dishwasher.
This was my very first time using these Rubbermaid products and I love them. The juice MixerMate was perfect for an affordable drink that was friendly for the pregnant folk (me and my sister-in-law). I love how the lids snap together, the varying sizes and the fact that everything can go in the dishwasher, microwave and stove.
Writing this post is actually making me miss two things: My sister and the food!
She totally couldn’t stop laughing and was avoiding the camera a bit. The kiddos also love these get togethers, because there are lots of their favorite people there to give them LOTS of attention.
