This might quite literally be my most embarrassing post yet. If have been following this blog for a while, you probably have heard me mention our basement. I have said it could nail me a spot on a show about hoarders. You may have thought I was being dramatic, but I wasn't. These photos were shot last March. The basement probably wasn't even at its worse then. Oh my word! (hangs head in shame) I really don't know how this happened. We moved in and odds and ends went to the ...
DIY Watercolor Shelf Vignette
This weekend Quinn and I sat down to play with watercolors. You know good old classic Crayola watercolor paints and a Crayola paper pad suitable for watercolors. See my coffee cup? I cannot tell you how many times I almost dipped my paint brush into my coffee. My lovely painting is the one with the yellow brush strokes? I was just getting started. I did random brush strokes and had fun with color. One of the best things about being a parent is reliving your childhood. I don't know that I ...
Valentine Printable For the Little Ones
This Valentine is a fun play on words, but most importantly it is a non-candy Valentine that can keep the kiddos busy. A teacher's favorite kind. Trust me, I know (I was a teacher). It is absolutely crazy to believe that they have been married twice as long as I have been alive. To be honest, I like to drag out the fact it is my birthday. As a mom, I use it to get out of changing diapers and doing laundry and as an excuse to hit the road and have some me time. Last week I ...
Living On One Income
First of all, I want to start by saying how much I love blogging and the whole Balancing Home community. I know my post have become irregular. Funny thing is: I have so much I want to share with you. I'm hitting the third trimester of pregnancy so by the time the kiddos are in bed I am pooped. This is probably going to sound weird too, but the chair we have at our desk is literally painful to sit in. It kills my tail bone, which makes it even less likely I will plant my bottom down and get to ...
