Thankfully I snapped these pictures early this week. It just took me all week to get around to writing this post, because that is how I roll. I love blogging--I really do. I love my readers and I want to share more, write more and do more. Three kids at home makes it hard to make any commitments during the day and by night--I'm done. Even if I'm up, I want to chill out with the Mindy Project or New Girl or one of my TV dramas and catch up with the hubs. Sidenote: Mindy's secret santa gift ...
Holidays
A Kindergarten Chic, Handmade, Colorful Christmas
There are a bazillion ways your Christmas decor can go. Traditional, color scheme, industrial, metallic, glam, themed every which way. This year I decided to embrace my life now. I have a 5 year old, a 2 year old and a 7 month old. For Christmas I pictured something out of the Holiday. You know--the part where Cameron Diaz snuggles up with Jude Law's kids in that snowflake fort? So that mixed with the fun that is Land of Nod. Oreo Truffle Reindeer Noses & Printable
The holidays are crazy busy. No matter how much I prepare or shop or do in advance, I am always trying to whip up a gift or a treat or a dish the day of. It.never.fails. Anyone else? I'm going to be honest, I didn't even have time to click over and check out my inspiration. Hers are full of homemade goodness and great pics for instructions. Mine were whipped up in a frenzy when I remembered bake sale items were due. I'm fortunate enough to be neighbors with my brother and his family and had to borrow eggs from them. My cupcakes are the classic Funfetti ...
A Spooky Halloween Mantle
While the kids were asleep, I had fun playing with my Halloween "mantle" -- aka: dining room console table. This year we reused a lot of things and added a few new fun things from American Crafts available at Target. For this mantle we used the bunting and the fun label stickers from the American Craft line at Target. This fun banner is one of three kits available. There are also the mini witch hats and paper wreath (you can see below). Target is carrying a wide ...
